The Party will celebrate the release of Cassimy’s highly-anticipated debut solo album, the first release from the singer-songwriter’s new record label, Everything Evrod Entertainment, available on digital and physical formats November 10, 2018!
Newzic is a compilation of 12 R&B and pop tracks, nine brand new songs and three previously released singles, all written and recorded by Cassimy at Get Fresh Studios in the heart of the Motor City. The album takes listeners on an intimate journey through the artist’s life, with untold personal stories woven from powerful lyrics and Cassimy’s soulful voice.
Evrod has always loved writing. He’s known for writing stories for TV News in Detroit. Now, he’s sharing stories he’s written through song. The multi-talented artist started singing at age three, with a life-long love for writing and recording original music. This debut solo album rides his turbulent journey from music to television and back again, to recover a dream he’d abandoned along the way.
“There came a point early on in my TV news career where I was told I had to give up singing, writing and recording music,” said Cassimy. “I was devastated, but gave up music for nearly ten years.”
Cassimy found a comfort level in Detroit, and inspiration in the heart of Motown. With some encouragement from the late Aretha Franklin, Evrod began writing, performing and recording again. His debut album Newzic is a rich, soulful compilation of tracks about the emotional roller coaster of following his dreams and his journey back to music.
“I am really excited about the release of my first album,” said Cassimy. “Am I nervous? ABSOLUTELY, but I’ve always believed if you’re not nervous or scared, you’re not living your best life.”
Newzic will be available for download and streaming on all digital platforms on November 10, 2018! A new song from the album, "90s R&B," is available with each pre-order starting on October 13 on iTunes, Google Play and www.EvrodCassimy.com.
Evrod is extending an open invitation to fans to join him at the Album Release Party, to walk the Red Carpet, and be the first to get an autographed copy of Newzic along
with other exclusive merchandise! Tickets are Free and space is limited. One ticket per registered guest. For tickets, RSVP at www.EvrodCassimy.com.
