Evrod Cassimy Announces New Single To Benefit Detroit Public Schools

DETROIT PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOUNDATION PARTNERS WITH WDIV/Local 4’s EVROD CASSIMY, ON THE LAUNCH OF GOOD ENOUGH 

The inspirational song hits the airwaves April 16th and mask proceeds will be donated to the DPS Foundation to benefit our students. 

DETROIT, Mich. (April 16, 2021) – The Detroit Public Schools Foundation, an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD), is pleased to announce it is partnering with Evrod Cassimy, Morning Anchor on WDIV/ClickOnDetroit.com, on the release of his new single, “Good Enough”. Evrod dons the CD cover with his Good Enough mask and 100% of sale proceeds will be donated to the DPS Foundation. 

"We appreciate our DPS honorary alumni, Evrod Cassimy, giving back to the students and families through his music and the fundraiser. Music can be healing, and we know our families and students need positive vibes right now", said District spokesperson, Chrystal Wilson. 

Evrod’s says his deep connection to education stems from his parents. “Both of my parents are retired educators, so education has always been very important to me. I’m thankful for the front-line workers within DPSCD who have worked tirelessly to provide for students during the pandemic. I wrote this song to inspire others to keep fighting through all the challenges this past year has brought us. The mask serves as a reminder to never give up because we’re all Good Enough.” 

President and CEO Pamela Moore, said “We hope that our DSPCD students, families, educators, Detroiters and the world will have listening parties to be inspired by this timely, heartfelt, feel-good song”.
